In Naga City, Philippines, a couple’s wedding was almost cancelled after their Bulldog went missing.
Jaja Ayao and Dominique Bitancur were set to tie the knot on October 15, but their big day was almost cancelled after the couple’s Bulldog, Daddy, went missing on October 2.
Daddy, who was named after Cesar Millan’s Pit Bull, was a gift from Jaja’s sister and became her emotional support dog after she suffered from an ectopic pregnancy 4 years into her relationship with Dominique, Mylce Mella of ABS CBN News reported. Since then, Daddy has grown very attached to the couple.

“He cried every time we left home, even if it was only for a little while. When we came back, his eyes would be red. We would do anything just to spend time with him,” Jaja said.
When Daddy went missing, all the pain and sadness Jaja felt when she lost her baby came rushing back. She was so depressed she didn’t want to push through with the wedding unless Daddy is found.

“She would only eat porridge. She would vomit up rice. It was a repeat of what happened when she suffered an ectopic pregnancy,” Dominique told ABS CBN News.

Desperate to find their beloved Bulldog, the couple turned to social media and ABS-CBN Bicol morning show Marhay na Aga Kapamilya – asking and pleading for Daddy’s return.
And on October 5, the couple received the good news: someone had found Daddy, and they were reunited in time for the couple’s wedding to push through.

During the wedding, Daddy was in Dominique’s arms as he and Jaja walked down the aisle. Best wishes, Jaja and Dominique!
